Question:
Was Arjen Robben's move to Bayern Munich a good move?

I think its good for Bayern and terrible for Real. Why? Because Robben is such an effective player and he was brilliant during preseason even if he did come off the bench he played better than Ronaldo and yes Real Madrid needs to offload players but it was a mistake selling Robben, also who will take Robben's place? Florentino Perez is a dum@$$ in my opinion. For Bayern it's good because Robben is the type of player they need, a player that makes a difference, and now Bayern will have Ribery, Schweinsteiger, and Robben who are all good players. And hopefully Robben will help Bayern succeed in Germany and Europe.

So the question is basically who got the better deal? Bayern Munich or Real Madrid?

Robben's move to Munich is a good move considering the fact that the World Cup is just around the corner and he will need first team footie to be in shape for the world cup.

Munich on the other hand need some punch up front since their performance has not been at par from last season to date. With Altintop,Ribery and Toni, Robben will add some more flair and attacking punch to the team.

He will also have a go at Champions league footie. Robben is a technically gifted and hard working player who has the ability to change games. Bayern will benefit from his trickery plus he will bang in some goals, something they seem to have lost lately.

With Bayern Robben needs no time to adapt their current 4-3-2-1 will suit him just fine and should they switch to a 4-4-2, he will fit in therein as well.

As to who got a better deal i'll lean towards Bayern. Robben will definitely pay them back in full with a stellar performance. REAL MADRID, they lost a good workhorse something they will need this season.

Good for Bayern and even better for Real... Robben never does nothing, he is useless against little above average defence and was NEVER big match player but except for Ribery, Bayern doesn't have any other world class players so I'm sure he will be a big star there.

Robben left not because he is not good enough but because Perez MUST sell some players and get some money back and I really doubt Robben would accept the bench role when he can get in to first team of almost every team in the world.

Madrid did Bayern a favor, if anyone seriously thinks Robben is ineffective then they NEVER WATCH THEM PLAY! letting Robben and Sneijder go were bad choices, letting Van der Vaart go was ok after a while and considering they are well covered in the AM position, but having Ronaldo on 1 side and Robben on the other is a very good combo, assume Ronaldo is injured they are short of winger options.

Bayern Munich got the better deal as Robben will be much more effective in the Bundesliga than la liga, Robben is quality against weaker opposition but when he plays against a strong team he is useless and ends up getting marked out of the game.

Great move by bayern, bad move by Real, and Robben. Bayern are going to have a very strong team if they can keep Robben and Ribery fit. Real Madrid may regret off loaded these good dutch players, even though they got around £20 mill for him.Robben will be playing in a poor league. I hear they're trying to sell Sneijder as well ( i hope Van Nistelrooy isn't next). I really wanted atleast one of these guys to be in the premiership but it looks like its not going to happen.

Well, it was good for both teams. Real Madrid literally needed to offload some players because they had about 28 and can only have 25 for the season. Robben is great, but he just gets to many injuries (look at last season) and I wish he could've stayed, but he had to go.

Bayerns dont have speed, so it is good to have Robben who has speed, but he is injury prone. He may not be in the team, when Bayern need to win for the important much, like Champions league.

I lather want someone who dont injrury that much.

I dont know what you are complaining about. Are you telling me that we dont have a better team than last year? Sure it would be nice to keep Robben in the bench but that cost money. He is an expensive player to keep on the bench.

He had two years to show what he was worth. Because of injuries he never played more than 4 games in a row! You know what kind of impact that has on the team?

Florentino is not an idiot, you just have to realize that you have to take and give a little. We asked for Kaka and we got Kaka. We asked for CR and we got CR. Like thats not enough we ask for Xabi and we get Xabi. Now its our turn to give a little and realize that Robben and Sneijder needed to go. Besides, I rather see Granero and Higuain get play time.

Robben had his chance and now its gone.

I'm this close to making a Perez dart board.

NO joke, he is so stupid. Robben was effective, I watched Real games last season he was good, he made plays, unlike other players that were just standing there. Whoever says he was pointless should go and watch Reals games of 08/09.

As for your question Bayern ofcourse.

Bayern got 100% the better deal. When Robben is fit, he is always good to see him play.

He might be happy to go, but he doesn't fit the German playing style at all. Football is played differently over there and especially the referees are much stricter, which is not good for a player who bit another player.

I think that is good for Robben, cause Real Madrid won't win nothing and he 'd never played..

I think real got the better deal to be honest.

They bought him for 24M and sold him for 25M

Robben did not play so good last year.

We will have to see how he plays this year to see who won the deal.

But, currently Real got the better of it.
