CR scored 11 goals in 11 games if we count La Liga and CL while Messi scored 9 goals in 8 and a half games, so by statistics they're equal. I don't think I have to say that CR played ONLY against weakest defences while Messi played against Valencia, Atleti and Rubin. Another interesting FACT that puts Messi class above CR is that CR scored 11 goals out of 87 shots on goal which means he has 8 shots on goal per game while Messi scored 9 goals from 48 shots which is 5 shots per game....... if Messi was selfish and egoistic like CR then his statistics would be MUCH better than C.Ronalda's.



His statistics was even worse before racing game.

@Justdoit.... what are you on about.... he has 25 odd goals in 78 odd games (cba to look up the exact stats).... but if I'm not mistaken, Messi has to score a goal every two games for Argentina for the next 20 games to match Ronaldos stats.......

He has been fantastic to Real Madrid and scoring that many goals for club makes him to be one of the best. But he has failed to do the same for his country Portugal and hence IMHO he can't be the best. Unless he can't score in all forms of the game he can't be the best.

WHY WOULD HE DO THAT ? he is at peak of his form, scored 96 in his last 88 appearances ,playing alongside best players from europe ,one of the best and richest club in world !! and even if he decides to leave i dont think that reals owner will let him go so easilly they will definitely take the record breaking transfer fees!which i dont think chelsa would afford to do after what happened to their last signing of Torres worth 50m!!!
