I actually don't think silverware should be the demand of Ancelotti first year. First year I just want an end to CR7-centrism, to see us playing decent football, and yea, if we can't win it, to at least compete while showing signs of positive rebuilding.

Only from the 2nd season should there be the demand of solid silverware.

For first season I just demand good progress and good football, football that works.

All in all, I expect a project rather than immediate title victory.Let Madrid sign him to restore the good image and give the team good football. Patience and stability are key.The error of forcing manager should be the past.He'll have a lot of cleaning up to do.Now,Madrid should focus on creating something for the future. Let him create a system that can last. Personally,I wouldn't demand a title or cup,but knowing Ancelotti, he has the capacity to win at least the copa del rey,but the last thing I will expect is a major title.He shouldn't be pushed to immediate triumphs,BUT I hope he can maintain Madrid in second place and with good competition and can give Madrid good football in the CL. The pros of Ancelotti is he knows how to make the most of every cent so expect individual improvement in players.Depending on his preferred style he might even find better use for Kaka rather than have him warming the bench. Let's pray that he's a good investment and that if he's good,Perez will give him a chance to prove his worth.

I do not think that silverware will be demanded, but wanted. I think Perez will tell him something like, we would like to win the CL, and La Liga, but if we can't but we still compete very well, it will be okay. I do not know if we could win the CL, but I think La Liga is a logical title that can be won with him in his first season. Also, I think we should not focus too much on CDR, that should be a tournament where we give our youths a chance, especially Jese. I do agree with you that the CR7 centeric system will not work, and I think that he will get rid of it because he really likes a team effort rather than a style where we counter attack and give the same player the ball right at the edge of the box. I think we will make great progress with him.

I agree that getting silverware in the first year is little to much to ask front Ancelloti, but he can bring them. If Ronaldo stays I do not think the system being based on Ronaldo will change, even if Ancelotti comes to Madrid. But he will change the style of play and give players like Kaka, Benzema, and Cas a chance.
